  • Allergic reaction puts fishing on hold

sadly my good news from the weekend has taken a bad turn I got home today and found the minor scratch I'd picked up Saturday from the spine of one of the catfish I caught blew up into a full blown allergic reaction. Dr says it is a form of fish poisoning ant that I run the risk of really having a deadly allergic reaction if I continue to expose myself to live fish. He strongly recommended I stop fishing and find another hobby. Very discouraged to have lost this source of great Joy....not sure what I should do.

That looks really bad. Is their anything that he can do to help give you alittle protection like taking some Benedryl immediately after getting stuck and cleaning the wound immediately? Where gloves before handling the fish?

You had me there wow haha. That would have really sucked if you were really allergic. Anyway glad to hear it was just a hoax.

What was that picture of? It looks like a sunburn blister or was it something else?
