Now MD is the same as VA at 16 min. I think DE is the same as last year, which is 12" min up to 10 Apr, then min goes to 18". In any case, that's among my main target fish this year

I'll be targeting them more this year... Closer to home though.

Yeah, OC! I still have to figure out the best places to fish there. The island south of the Inlet is one place. The island is long and am not sure where. The Rt 50 bridge and along the channels and bulkheads there, but the current can get pretty rough, not to mention the boat traffic. Then there's Rt 90 bridge. Not sure about that either. Sure would like to get a big one there

I'm hearing spotty reports of flatties being caught. Can't wait, weather is warming up.

There is a big group of guys holding a flounder fest in Wachapreague on the April 12-14 weekend. Early the next week, there should be some reports on Tidalfish about what they caught in that area.

Fellas- it won't take long...keep throwing the little guys back- in a year or two we will have this crop year as 14-15 inch fish and last year's fish will be 16-18 inch fish- and I applaud Virginia and Maryland for coordinating their regs- if all the salt water states did this we would have some degree of uniformity. As an old fart I don't need confusing and conflicting regs on one species of fish- I'd rather catch a big flattie than a small one- fishing the Potomac river with its joint VA/MD authority is confusing enough already-

Know where kayaks can be launched at Wacha? I prefer Chico, but Wacha might be worth a try soon.

Fished Wach several times by boat. There is a free ramp right by the restaurant in town. I thought about fishing there by kayak but all the best fishing areas that we found are a good distance from the ramp. It can be very good fishing at times though. Last year when conditions were right we caught a two man limit in an only hour or two with one pushing near 7 lbs.

Are you talking about the Inlet area? That is a far paddle.

I think Chinco would be easier with the Tom's Cove area.

If the good spots are within a few miles from the Wacha boat ramp (e.g. Burtons Bay), then it's OK via yak. Or maybe you're talking about the ocean side shoreline, which is a bit farther.

I've fished Shelley Bay at Chinco. Seen party boats there. Never been to Tom's Cove.
