Sunday 4/7 Plans????

Is anyone going out Sunday anywhere near Anne Arundel Co.? I have until 2:00 to get out. I need to feel the tug!!

I check the mid-Severn every few days, hoping that something changes. I was out today from about 12:30 to 2:30 from Jonas Green. I tried drifting over the debris pile off the end of the pier and did not see any promising marks, nor did I get any bites from jigging with a BKD.

Then I paddled off to a tributary that was a good producer all winter. When I visited there last week and again today, I had no fish. On each of those trips I observed one small pickerel follow my lure to the boat then turn away. Other than that, not a single evidence of fish. The perch will be back in the shallows in another 3-4 weeks. I would like to find a nearby spot (within 30 mins of Annapolis) to fish that actually offers a shot at catching something.

I may head up to the flats on Mon or Tues. I will watch the weather and wind forecast. I also want to hear the fishing reports from snaggedline and Tidalfish over the weekend before going that far. If the bite and/or weather does not sound good, I may drive to the lower Susquehanna for some shoreline shad fishing. Let me know if any of those trips interest you.

I might...might... play hooky on Tuesday of next week and have been wanting to try the flats. I'll be watching the reports hopefully for some life.
