I'll probably head out on Sunday afternoon out of Ft. Washington marina. Got some spots I want to try for big blue cats.

I'm hoping to launch from Colombia island marina on Sunday morning. Plan is to paddle up around Roosevelt Island and possibly higher depending on the current.

Will look at tide charts and base departure time on that.

Last time I was there, I caught a 30# catfish on a bass spinner.

If the water is flat, I'll head to Fletchers.

Hold on I forgot to ask can I use my VA tidal license here or is it MD freshwater? If it is fresh then I guess I will head to Occoquan.

Your VA saltwater license is good up to Rt 301 bridge (mainstream and tributaries). It's also good above the Rt 301 bridge up to the DC border (I think the border is the Wilson Bridge), but only in the Potomac river mainstream. It's not good in the tributaries from 301 bridge to the DC border.

There is reciprocity for VA and MD saltwater licenses.

I have a small window of time to fish Saturday and probably won't fish Sunday. I am thinking the Wilson for more Blue cats or the Occoquan for catfish and Crappie.

High tide at the Wilson Saturday is 11:05 and I need to be offthe water around 1:00 so it may be a slow day. I hve found another hole they seem to sit in at slack tide so that might save the day for me.

I don't think that I will make it Saturday due to 12 mph winds. Seems like I would drift around to much.

Well, I plan on getting to the Ramp between 8:30 and 9am to meet Kitkatyaker. If the winds are too bad then my backup plan is Mattawoman since it is down that way, and it looks like snakeheads are starting to rare their ugly tastey heads.
