As some of you know my wife was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer just before Christmas. We just finished the last chemotherapy this past Weds. On May 24 is the double mastectomy and the doctor's are guarded at best in the prognosis. So, we go along and hope for the best and try to keep our heads up. Our daughter who just celebrated her 32 birthday and her husband are trying to make a grandchild for us and so far. I rally love the idea of being a grandfather. SO, at dinner tonight, my wife tells me she has some news about my daughter. And I am thinking oh boy, she is pregnant, but then my wife's face turns very sullen and sad and I get a pit of anxiety in my stomach that grows to a ball of rage and fear when she says to me, "She has a lump in her breast and is going for a biopsy next week." I am beyond anxious and worried. I do not believe in asking for prayers for myself but in this case I want God to take me and spare my wife and child. I am ready to leave this earth if it means I can be sure my daughter is safe and my wife survives. The thought of possibly living on without them is intolerable to me. I am in need of prayers for my daughter and wife.....

Thoughts and prayers are with you docirv.
If it helps at all, my 24 year old daughter is running in the Susan G.Komen Race for the Cure in O.C. next Sunday, April 21st. For anyone who sees this, here's an easy way to make a donation of $25 - $100, or of course just go to the home page and make a general donation; either way. The important thing is to do what we can. We will beat this damn disease!
