        Haha I wouldn't say that...

There is a guy on here - MemoryMaker - who has fished that area and speaks highly of it. I know there is some good current that moves between the islands, I'd guess that rock would stage on the seams there and wait for a meal.

Let us know how you do if you head out that way, I wanted to try it back in September but never got the chance.

yeah i know. Justin Maynard is bringing my boat back from the beach Sunday and im going to go out from my community before the Ravens game if you want to join. We can launch into my community creek which is right at the mouth of the South. Gives us some options. Then watch Ravens dominate.

just deep fried oysters, throw them in a thick hotsauce right when they come out, put them in the broiler with a bit of crumbled bleu cheese on the top to melt it and thats basically it.

                    launch site

Is Rocky Point Beach Park a good launch site for Hart Miller Island? Is there a charge and limited hours? Or are there other lauch sites?

as for the deepfrying part.... throw oyster in flower, dredge through egg, flower again then gently drop in boiling peanut oil or pan fry. If you're not doing buffalo style, mixing a bunch of old bay in the flower makes them killer. Same recipe goes for chicken and fish

yup alex has it right but i use a flower/breadcrumbs mixture and an egg/milk wash. i tend to always put a bit of red pepper in the flower mixture along with black pepper and krazy mixed up salt. if your going plain you want to salt the oysters right outa the fryer so the seasoning sticks. with the buffalo i dont use any cuz the butter in the hot sauce makes it salty enough. you want us to pick up a pint on our way down saturday?

Awesome stuff. I am gonna break the fryer back out after this weekend's tournament... I've done buffalo flounder in the past very similar, never tried other things. Buffalo rock/oysters... here I come.
