              All,

Have fun, looks like I'll have kid's sports that I need to deal with, so it's a no-go. Weather premitting I'll get out tomarrow from the same place and warm it up for you...

From this weeks DNR fishing report...

"White Perch are moving into their summer season areas and offer good fishing for those using bait or casting jigs and spinners near structure. Recreational crabbing continues to be slow in the middle and lower bay regions with only a season's first taste of crabs for those willing to put in the time."

                See you all tomorrow!

John and all. I'm coming for sure tomorrow morning. I've loaded the boat and stuff. I also threw a propane bottle and another burner in case we need it for something. I'm getting ready to go down and fill some growlers for the feast! See you in the morning. I'll have a bright orange Jackson Cuda. If you need me to bring anything else just holler.

Alright, I've given up cleaning for tomorrow's festivities. You guys will just have to deal with my messy yard, there are only so many hours in the week.

See you in a couple hours!

Disappointing but fun sums today up fairly well.

Weather crapped out on us after good looking forecasts all week. Winds and water got rough. Front coming in killed what little bite there was. Not many fish caught. I brought my son so I didn't get to fish making sure he was able to handle his yak in the wind and chop. rain started on and off around 10:30 so we called the day. We went to Smokey Joe's for lunch rather than trying to cram into my house and wait out the rain.

Met some great new people and saw some old friends. That part was great. Lunch was pretty good as well.

I am really glad we went to Smokey Joe's. My daughter told me she had fun even though we did not catch any fish. I think she was just happy to get out in the bay for the first time and a nice lunch made it better and able to get out and walk around and look at the carter boats. But I hope next time is better on the fishing!!!
