  • Ancor Wire Seal Size? Humminbird Transducer

I've been searching high and low and cannot find what size ancor wire seal to purchase that will allow my thru hull humminbird transducer cable to pass through it.

Any suggestions? The sizes are 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4"

    thanks!

I think the opening on a ancor wire seal is going to be too small to pass the transducer "plug" through. I use that type of seal (aka: cord grip) on my power cable.

Since you do not want to ever cut the transducer cable maybe this type of seal would handle feeding the transducer plug through and still provide a water tight seal around the transducer cable.

I just installed my Hummingbird last night and tried the ancor wire seal, no luck as well! The connectors just would pass through the hole. Grommets would not work either. I just drilled a hole large enough to pass through the connectors and cables, fill liberally with duct seal, and used a termination plate that came with the FF. I made sure the hole is small enough to still use the ancor wire seal if I ever sell the kayak or change to lowrance.

I was a day to early,,,,nice product Dave,,,good luck Justin

Yeah, that CableClam looks like a cool product for Kayaks. I saw a picture online where both the power cable and the transducer cable were neatly routed through one larger CableClam.

Check out the Hobie through hull kit as well - http://www.austinkayak.com/products/...iring-Kit.html. It comes with multiple wire fittings and two deck fittings. Backyard boats stocks them locally as well!
