Hello everyone my name is Muhammad i have been lurking here for a little while researching kayaks and finally bought a Hobie outback so thought its time i made my first post. I was originally referred here my by bro in law Abu masgouf and again when i bought the hobie from BYB in Annapolis. So about myself im from Cecil county so the flats are pretty much my backyard. Also fish the Susquehanna and Elk rivers as well as Delaware river/Bay and recently started getting more into saltwater fishing DE shores. Until now i have been fishing from shore/banks and out of a 16ft jon boat. I am looking forward to enjoying the versatility that a kayak seems to offer, seems like the perfect balance between fishing from land and the expense and hassle of a larger boat. With that said i dont expect it to be cheap i already have a list of addons that i think i "need". Looking forward to learning as well as sharing ideas with all of you and hope to be of some contribution to this great forum. See you out there on the water...

Welcome aboard Muhammad! I live right across the water in Harford County. Great decision on the outback, I just recently upgraded to one myself. I am sure we will cross paths before the season is over.

Welcome Bro!!! LOL in this case its literal, since you're my brother in-law

Bro, you will love it here. All the folks here are very welcoming and generous with their knowledge and experience.

Jeremy, Muhammad surprised me today by actually buying the outback! So we'll be at the flats next weekend, God willing!

Good luck to all if you hit the flats next weekend as Mustafa said you can learn alot on these forums, but don't go asking for spots . Although looking at the profile pic you don't have any problems with catching cows.

Welcome aboard. You are going to love the Outback. I was out in mine yesterday for the second time at North Beach. It handles the rough chops great. I'll see you out there at some point. I was going to go out there today but couldn't make it. Maybe I'll be out there tomorrow, weather depending. What color did you get?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Big reason i joined here is because it seems ppl are so laid back and just about having fun fishing.
Minh: i know all about "spot burning". Ive experienced it myself before but the cool thing with a kayak is i can explore and find my own honey holes.its much worse when it comes to shore fishing because of the limited space and next thing you're elbow to elbow with others who heard about a spot.

Goody: i ended up with a yellow outback. My first choice was red but upon unpacking found rudder pulley was broken right out of box. I didnt feel like waiting for it to be fixed so i chose yellow instead. Not exactly my style but i was thinking from a safety standpoint it would be most visible. Last thing i want is to get run over by some daydreaming boater.

See you guys out on the water and Mustafa looking forward to hitting the flats in my new kayak!

Btw glad to hear your experiences with choppy water and the outback goody, that was one of the things that had me going back and forth between the outback and revolution. It makes it worse that one person will tell you its terrible in chop and another like you will say its fine. I guess the only way is to experience for yourself.

                You'll hate it here...everyone is a jerk!
Glad to see more folks on the NE side joining. I'll more than likely see ya on the flats sometime myself. It's my favorite place.
