Snakehead fishing this weekend

I would like to go get some Snakehead this weekend. Anyone have any info on where to go and what to use for these critters? Maybe someone wants to go with?

I'll be heading to mattawoman creek (tributary of the potomac) near DC this sunday. Launching from slavin's launch. Have yet to catch one, I hear that they are often caught on chatterbaits (somewhat like a spinnerbait) and topwater frogs. Maybe we'll see ya down there

I catch them on top water frog and minnow/shad swims-bait. I caught a fat 7 1/2 lbs on this today. I usually go to Leesylvania, but I tried Pohick bay today and got one. I want to try Aquia creek next, I heard it quite productive as well.

Just saw this thread...I posted my own a few minutes ago. Im also trying to catch my first snakehead and am available this weekend from early morning till it gets too hot. I was planning to go to Mattawoman, Occoquan River, Pohick bay, etc but am open to almost anywhere.

If someones going out sat morn and wouldnt mind me tagging along,.pls let me know.
