  • Killer Rodent!

They make me nervous when encountering them on the water. Here's more reason to stay clear!

Wow, I keep seeing them on the water too. They usually dive away from my kayak when I get close, but I'll be careful when I see them now. Thanks for the head up.

Just don't try to have your photo taken with a beaver. Come on, there must be a joke there some where?

          That's some bad luck.

I had a beaver swim just a few feet from me a couple weeks ago as I was wading in the Patapsco. Scared the carp out of me, but I don't think it even saw me.

I wouldn't grab a chipmunk in the wild. Anyone who would grab an adult beaver has no clue what kind of damage a wild animal can do when cornered.

The beavers on my local reservoir follow me around when I'm fishing towards sunset. I think they have young out and about and they like to keep an eye on me. They don't cause any problems except for when they slap their tails on the surface of the water (which I suspect puts the largemouth bass on high alert).

I've herd of people actually being attacked by beavers in the more up stream secluded areas of the gunpowder river. I've been to remote ponds deep in woods where beavers don't f*ck around when you play in there waters. I always keep a sling shot and 1/4 bearings for beavers and pesky turtles. That water slap is usually a warning shot before they come for a closer look

I know a few bars in Oregon where grabbing beaver will get you killed, too.

Yet another reason to legalize open/conceal carry for all in Maryland. Beaver getting a little too close? Blow him away then eat him.
