Fish finder went for a swim

    Don, here's an old post of mine from another forum. Screw protectors. You can get them at Lowes. I don't know the exact part number, but the one that fits the unused port is light grey in color and fits 1/2" screw. The link may not be the right part, but will give you an idea on what it is. It is normally a VERY tight fit. You're going to think you got the wrong part when you bring it home. You may have to stretch it out with some needlenose pliers, but it will go on.

    I also use a green one to go over the transducer plug that goes in back of the unit. I put it on after I'm done on the water and it stays on until I'm ready to launch next time.

      this is why I plasti-dip my entire fish finder and plug all the ports/holes I wont use with duct seal.
