As a follow up to this...

Can someone please explain it to the newb what I should be looking for weather wise? Each area obviously have different wind preferences based on where/how you fish. I am hoping to target stripers along the bridge pylons. Since I dont yet have a fish finder or GPS, any guidance on how far out along the bridge from Sandy Point I should go would be extremely helpful.

this is general and it doesnt take into account the tide. you dont want a strong wind blowing against the current there, not much fun!

zoom in and you'll be able to see the water depths along the bridge, all the pylons can hold fish, just have to find which ones they are at that day.
