Has anyone used a cast net out of their kayak and what was your experience. Any advice?

i have a cast net but don't use it much. my experience with it is mostly from piers; to entertain kids as it works out since i don't baitfish very much. not sure what diameter it is but it's not one of the big ones for sure.
i also have an outback and would suggest that if you're comfortable standing in your yak (think stand-up paddling) and have your rod, etc tethered and believe you can basically get right next to some baitfish, i think it should be reasonably possible to use a cast net from an outback in calm waters.

I cast mine while standing in my Ride 135. It works fine as long as the water isn't too rough. I throw it the same way as if I were throwing it from shore or a dock. Mine is only a small 6' net. Here is a link to a video posted (not mine) just yesterday showing it done sitting:
