Kayak Wars ran a side tournament this year which would be one of the Hobie Fishing World qualifying events. The tournament ran May 1-June 30 and was a photo catch and release event. The results are currently being vetted and the final word will be out in the next few days.
My final fish count during the tournament dates was:
15 Bluefish - Between 17-34 1/2''
31 Tautog - Between 15-23''
43 Flounder - Between 16-24''
27 Striper- Between 20- 36 3/4''
17 Speckled trout- Between 16-23''
4 Shark- Between- 36-48''
4 Black Drum- Between 16-18''
1 Croaker- 14''
4 Weakfish- Between 21-23''
----------------------------------
146 Kayak Wars Eligible fish Caught.
It was a challenge and there were definitely a few days when I had to force myself to go back out and fish in less than ideal weather.
I fished mainly in New York and Delaware during May and transitioned to fishing Maryland and Virginia in June.
Thanks for all the support Snaggedline.
