I have a small group of friends interested in going yak fishing this Sunday. We are looking to do the Bay Bridge but we might have a rookie yaker coming with us so we may just stick to Jonas Green for the day. I will let you know by Saturday.

If the weather is good, the Bay Bridge along the pilings are easy for a new yaker. He can even fish close to shore and catch spot, croakers and perch with bloodworms. The launch is easier from the ramp than Jonas, at least you launch in the protected ramp area with no sand before getting to the base of the bridge. The newbie can decide how far our he or she wants to paddle. They may adapt very quickly from other newbies that I met. If the water gets very rough then Jonas is just 10mins away. Just a thought.

The Severn by Jonas can get just as rough and busy as the BB on a weekend...
I may see you guys out there... maybe...

Count our group in for the BB. I have more confidence in the "rookie" after taking her out on the Severn earlier today. See you guys Sunday mornin

I'd like to join in. I'm a newbie also so would love to try it as a group. I paddle, so I'll try to keep you peddlers at least within view. The weather report looks a little sketchy, I think, so let me know if anything changes.

So far the weather looks like it should be good in the morning. The weather report calls for (Weather.com) - variable clouds with scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon. High 79F. Chance of rain 50%. Windfinder.com - wind 8mph n-nw in the morning. Ebb - 4am. Flood 10am. Remember this is a forecast. Actual condition will vary.

I will be there around 5:30 also. This is my first time at the BB but not in the bay...I was going to catch some spot on the way out with bloodworm fish bites. I think goody is getting some spot at Anglers, but I am afraid half of them might die once you load up and get on the water. My luck, I will catch all perch or spot that are too big, LOL

You probably don't need spot. My friend has been catching a ton of stripers on bass assassins out there.
