i know in the lower bay they fish much deeper, like 50-90 feet for flounder with 3 way rigs.

Yeah, we used 3-way rigs with 10oz...which still didn't hold too well. I caught mine on a 3/4-1oz bucktail on a 2' leader rom the 3 way swivel.
