Any tips on Yaking in the Magothy?

Hi Y'all

I kayak out of the back of the magothy river and out into the actual river also. I use a beetle spin and also a buck tail and a minnow. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for me that may work when i go out?? I don't currently troll anything but i would like to. If anyone has any tips or ideas i would appreciate it greatly.

Also, does anyone have any ideas on keeping minnows alive? I have to drag the minnow holder behind me which really slows me down. If anyone has tips, give em to me!

I also kayak the magothy, I have good success jigging grubs and spinners under the piers during low tide and mid day when the sun is high,Fish anywhere a tree is casting shade on the water during heat of the day . Work the shallows around piers and rip rap in morning and evening. Always catch good numbers in the evening seems like you can cast anything and they will hit it.
