I just wanted to take this time out to introduce myself on this forum now that I am a new member of the kayak fishing fraternity and recently purchased my first fishing kayak. I just purchased a Prowler Trident 13 Angler from the great Demo sale in Easton. I am going to pick it up this weekend and cant wait. I went out for the first time last year kayak fishing with MetroMan, GradyBlack, and MytMouse and I had a blast. I must say it was "Love at First Ride". I told them I wanted to get one but with me getting married in July I was being a good fiance and said I would wait until after the wedding. Even though my fiance said to go ahead and get it with the $1000 dollars I won in fantasy football. How many of you would have did that? Im sure not many. LOL!!! Then MetroMan called me one day and told me about the great sale in Easton and I couldnt pass the deal so I went on and purchased it. Great things come to those who wait. I look forward to meeting you all this upcoming season . Everybody take care and be safe.

Welcome Foursteps. Its goog that you now have alot of others to plan fishing trips with, because Metro and MYT have trouble getting permission to go fishing.

Welcome, and this is a great forum, a good source of information.

Welcome aboard Foursteps. I heard about the sale in Easton too and bought a Hobie Revo on Saturday. Right now the new ride is sitting in my garage. I can't wait until I get a fish finder installed in it and the weather warms up. I am sure you will love your new boat. Look forward to fishing with you this year.

For the most part all of my life I have been bottom fishing for whatever hits to be honest (perch, spot, croaker, blues, and occassional rockfish) . Using bloodworms, squid, shrimp, night crawlers on occasions , and cut bait. My goals for this year are to get comfortable with my yak in smaller waters. I will also like to learn more about jigging and livelining as well. I fish the Severn River a lot in the summer months and take the ride to Choptank quite a few times as well because the crabbing is great off the bridge in the middle of summer and beginning of fall. I also make my way to Solomons, Sandy Point, and Point Lookout. I know most of you have more experience than I do so I am open to all tips and tricks of the trade.

Sounds good 4, I plan on doing more bottom fishing this year, been craving croaker lately for some reason.

We're all still learning something! Welcome to the group and check out stupidjets livelining tips from a few years ago, they are very helpful!

Welcome! Bottom fishing the Bay is what really turned me on to fishing at a young age, and it was one of the first things I had to do last year after I got my first kayak, croaker fishing out of Sandy Point in July. Congratz on the new purchase, Easton lured a bunch of us with that January sale.
