    Hi all,

New to site, new to bass/river fishing, new to kayak fishing. My current situation hasn't allowed me the luxury of splurging on this new fixation of kayak fishing. I graduate nursing school next May and hopefully this will allow some extras in the areas of hobbies. My wife is working part time as a recovery room nurse, so between this, school, work, two kids and all the other aspects of life that we all enjoy, it doesn't leave much time for my new interests. I currently don't have a kayak, so I will continue to enjoy the posts and pictures of your adventures, as if they were my own, until I am able to join in.

I am located about 3-4 miles upriver from dam #4 in the general Hagerstown area.

    Congrats on your chosen profession.

I am new to kayak fishing myself. But many of the skills I am using now were honed as a wade fisherman on the Potomac not far from where you live. Get out on the river as much as your career and family allows and in the future when you get a kayak you will do just fine.

    Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome and the advice, so far I've just fished around the dams, I will have to try wading for some smallies. Love this site, lots of info here.
