Thanks for the offer. I am fishing one of our local tournaments here in Kentucky this weekend and will leave for Neavitt Monday morning. I'd love to meet up sometime next week or Sat or Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Heading back home on Labor Day. My daughter is coming over from DC for the weekend and I want to spend some time with her, but other than that, I'm on vacation so my schedule is hopefully very flexible.

Again, thanks for the offer and I hope we can get together and fish next week sometime. Just let me know your schedul

Met up with Coop this afternoon for a couple of hours at Claiborne. Good thing because I'd been doing alot of paddling the last couple of days with no results. When I fist pulled up at Claiborne to meet Coop, it looked a little iffy with whitecaps and a wind dead into the ramp. But as we talked, things died down some and we decided to head on out. Coop showed me what I was doing wrong as far as looking for fish and technique. First fish of the trip was a tiny rock, probably not more than 10 inches, but at least I was on the board. Ended up with another small rock at 14.25 and a tiny blue. Can't thank Coop enough for taking the time to fish, and show me what up. I'm heading out to Lowes Wharf in the morning on Coops advice to see if I can put some of my new found knowledge to work.

Thanks to everyone for the help.

        Hey, Kyyaker

I ran into your wife and her friend at the Neavitt Public Launch yesterday morning after coming in @ 11:30 am. I was kind of beat after a 5 hour paddle/fish and they chatted me up. She mentioned that you were from Kentucky and I remembered your thread, small world!

I just got home, but will post when I have time. Nothing great; some perch and 4 -5 10 - 14 inch rock off of Nelson Point. No pics. I hope you did better than I.

Sorry I missed you in Neavitt. I almost turned right to check what was happening at the landing that morning, but unfortunately turned the other direction and went to Claiborne. Not much luck - you did much better than I did, but I was still on a steep leaning curve.

I got to fish with Coop a couple of times and had a blast. He was great to fish with a was full or local info. I ending up catching several blues (and went through a ton of paddle tails and gulps), a few rocks (the largest was 16) and surprisingly a small flounder on a rattletrap that was dragging the bottom while I re-rigging a paddle tale. All in all was a great week. Its a beautiful area. Looking forward to next year when I can start with a little knowledge. Hope we can meet up then.

That would be fun! The locals keep telling me to come back in mid-late October. The larger rock come in numbers into the shallows near the jettys and around points to feed where they are accessible by kayak. They're also more breaking fish in the Fall, so if it's possible plan your trip around that time.

I am thinking of going back for the Tilghman Island Fest on October 19, maybe come in that Thursday evening; fish friday, and Sat am, then go to the Fest. on Friday. http://www.tilghmanmd.com/tilghmanday.htm
