Hi all,
The sea kayakers put together a water trail for Anne Arundel County from the south shore of the South River down to the Anne Arundel County/Calvert County line. We'll do the northern half of the county next year. We included county, state, federal and nonprofit waterfront property. We can't use all these sites right now. The sites with physical restrictions for launching and landing - bulkheads, high docks, riprap - are noted by <name>. The sites we haven't visited are noted by ?name?. The sites that have physical restrictions that would make them difficult to use as launchsites but can be used for a rest stop landing are noted by #name#.
After that it gets trickier. Some of the rest of the sites are level enough and could be used for a kayak launch but there is not a road to the water. Jack Creek Park and Shady Cove Natural Resource are two of these sites.
Additions to the list are welcome. I've been to all these sites except Elizabeth Dixon, Deale Wharf and Franklin Point. I can't tell you about fish but I can tell you about access.
