Cool knot

I stumbled across a knot that i never seen before while watching people catch fish on YouTube.

It looks like a nice way to connect heavy mono to heavy braid. Probably wont ever use it but it is neat. That would wind up nice on a reel. Wonder how it would work with 30 lb braid and 50lb mono.

Ah I'm bored and drinking so i decided to give it a try. Its a little awkward at first but it works well. I pulled out some 30lb braid and 50lb mono, A empty spool and the largest bobbin i had and gave it a whirl. It turned out really good. I probably would not turn to this while bobbing up and down in a Kayak but i think I'm gonna pre rig my outfits with this type of leader connector before hitting the water.





Might even try this on my Surf rod to connect the shock leader. Not that i get much use out of that rod now.
