I think I am finally safe to announce some good new. Yesterday I received my confirmation email from Hobie stating that I have been accepted as a Hobie Fishing Team member! I will be the local pro representing the lower eastern shore of MD and nothern eastern shore of VA. (No real defined lines, but this is where the market of the sponsoring dealer extends to).
I am very excited for the opportunity to represent such an awesome company and sport. There is certaintly room for growth on the ES of MD. There are only a handful of us down here. I often fish all day without seeing another boat, yet alone another kayak angler. Hopefully I can help the sport grow in this area. My sponsoring dealer is Survival Products in Salisbury, MD. One thing I have noticed about this sport is the commoridity between kayak anglers. It was very apparent at TKAA. I hope to continue that down here and meet some new people in the process.
