I have the 3000 size as well. I used this for all sorts of rock fishing, bass fishing, muskey fishing. flounder fishing. This reel is the best bang for your buck. While working at bass pro i would push this reel out harder then ANY reel we sold.

for 99 bucks it out performs 95% of reels on the market.

They are a little heavier then most. But you get what u pay for. a solid fishing reel. Ive had mined dunked in the ocean in watchapreague virgina. And pulled it out hosed it off and never felt a difference.
