12 hour Wreck Fishing Nov 22 on the Ocean Princess

My brother in law and I are going on the 12 hour wreck fishing trip Nov 22 (Friday). The boat leaves Ocean City, MD at 6am and returns at 6pm. Only 35 anglers are allowed on this boat that can hold double that. If anyone is interested in going, then post here, so we can hook up with a Snaggedline group on the boat. To book your trip call 410-289-6226. They will not charge your credit card until they know that they are going for sure. Price $110 + tax. It is $5 to rent a rod. They will be using clams to catch tog and black seabass and whatever else is there.

If you guys are going then I think it'd be a blast. I want in. I'll talk it over with the wife. Would you recommend renting a rod?

Hmm this sounds interesting. Short boat ride out. Have you been on here before? Flounders doable at this time of year?

I am planning on just paying the $5 and rent the boat's rods. When you loose a rig, they just replace it. I think if you bring your own rods, then you will have to buy weights at a couple of dollars each. The mates will still hook you up and rig it. I just find that it will be easier to use theirs. I still may bring a rod just to test it on the trip.

I have been on this boat before with SurfDog and GradyBlack, and one time with a buddy of mine, we had a good time. The trip might be 2.5 to 3 hours to the fishing grounds. You can always call the number that I posted earlier in the thread to get specific questions answered. They are real friendly.

Southerly is correct. However, if you use braid and most other anglers use mono, the sink rate and angle of the lines in the current will be different. That increases the chances of crossing and tangling lines.

I asked a couple of buddies if they wanted to go but they declined because of the long drive in the early hours. I wanted to get a room the night before to make it easier, but I couldn't get those guys to bite. So I guess I'm out :-(

Interesting point... I never would have thought about that.

I'm bringing my braided rod anyway. I'll blame Moc if anything goes wrong. Why own 10 if I'm going to use another man's rod...
