So I went shopping today and for those that asked what the set up will be....

    Lowrance elite 5 dsi gold
Hobie rod extensions on the back holders
One hobie rod holder on each on the front plates
    Hobie anchor trolley
    hobie anchor kit
    Visicarbon Pro
    Emergency kit etc

I am also picking up a blackpak and some lighting to see what i'm doing at night but i still have to order that stuff. I picked up some PVC stuff to mess around with, but I'm not sure if I'll use it or not.. I have more than enough rod storage on this thing already.

Now I have to get all this stuff on before fishing tomorrow morning...lol

Nice day like today, I bet he isn't worried about rigging but is somewhere on the water with a smile on his face! New Yaks always make ya smile!.....Jack

I rigged until 1am last night and then was back up at 4 to go meet my buddies..lol

I can't express how happy I am that I spent the money and got the PA.. That thing is amazing! We were fishing the Rappahannock all the way down where it meets the bay in whitestone. There's a bridge we worked our way around all day. There was no rain, and pretty much no wind down there all day. The current runs pretty good through there sometimes and I was able to just slow pedal and never put the rod down. I was watching the other guys struggle... as soon as they stopped paddling long enough to fish for a minute they would get pushed 200 yds down the river... The down side was I ended up being the pack mule and carried all the coolers and stuff that no-one else had room for..

        Great day on the water!

Catch anything? I haven't been down to the Rapp at all this year. Congrats on the PA!

we caught quite a few small stripers and my cousin hooked in to one that was 30 plus inches but it got off right beside the yak. there were a lot of boats out there and we probably saw 6 or 7 nice size keepers come in.. I was just happy to be on the water. I still have a lot to learn about trolling for striper. Most of my experiences and fresh water for largemouth bass and I've never learned the finer points of trolling or striper rigging.
