  • Piney Point 11/29

Heading to Piney Point if anyone wants to join. Launching as early as I can get down there, probably around 6-7am. Trolling and jigging the pier and ledges

Hi Cbird.. hope you made it out.. at least to enjoy the day. I really enjoyed my first visit to the area.
It was really cool after I got out of the "urban" roads and made my way down there, especially to see the Amish
gentleman with his horse drawn cart... wanted to take a picture but I think that's a no'no with them without their
      permission.

Anyway, thanks for the weather links. I often use others.
      The http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...A#.UpeloI1djV0 link...
actually pulls from the Pax weather station.. which is
what I use in my signature for the Chesapeake weather...

As far as I know.. the Piney Point "buoy" doesn't give temperature but does have the winds. The station is located at the
end of the old gas station pier. The Point Lookout.. aka Potomac reporting station does give current temperatures
      and wind reports.

I built this webpage.... and now has a cronjob so it is much faster than I had previously posted the link... for a bunch
of buoys and locations along the Chesapeake. It updates once an hour... and for the first 10 minutes of every hour
"null" for the update. The feed is painfully slow or I would do multiple updates and hour...

      http://www.mychesapeakebay.net/weath...baybuoys.shtml

(and yes I know after the Air Temperatures there is the word 'knots'... I'll get "around to it"...)

None the less thanks for the links and best regards.
