Severn Ice Conditions

My sister lives off of Chase Creek a mile +- upriver from the Rt. 50 bridge. She walked on the ice near the pier yesterday, and then chickened out and didn't go any farther.

After this warm spell over the weekend, we'll be due for the annual Alberta clipper about the third-fourth week in Jan. With water temps already pretty low, it may be solid enough to be safe. I am itching to try ice fishing again. Heck by super bowl time, I'll have the shanty all set!
