Spooling Baitcast Reels

Other than measuring line length, how do you know when the reel is properly filled with the right amount of line?

Anyone have any tricks for measuring based on how full the spool is?

Fill the spool to within 1/16"-1/8" of the limits of the spool...you want to see a little edge of the spool...click on the image spool.JPG
