Moken 12

I am looking at getting a new kayak this month. I had a Tarpon 120 but it was stolen a couple weeks ago. I am looking at either the new Ride or the Moken 12. Checked out the Moken this weekend at Stark Moon up in Delta, PA. It looks like a nice boat and somewhat cheaper then a Ride. I liked the Tarpon but want the ability to stand up on the boat. How does everyone like the Moken that has one?

I bought my Moken12 from Stark Moon. I've been contemplating selling it. Shoot me a pm if you want to take a look at it.

I like my moken a lot. I have an older generation one but it has held up well. I love that the front hatch doesn't have access to the hull and has scupper holes. The only access to the hull is thru watertight disc style hatchs by the seat and on the rear. You don't have to worry about the front hatch seal leaking like with other yaks.

Moken 14 is an awesome boat. Have not looked at the 12...but it has a lot more features than the tarpon you had.

Me and my wife have the moken 10. We love them. They are very stable kayaks.
