I just found out I need to go to a meeting in late March in New Orleans. I want to leave a day early and get in some fishing. Does anyone know a good Kayak fishing guide, or inshore guide to fish for Reds and Trout in the area?

Your choices are to head south of New Orleans to fish in the marshes. There are lots of guides there. One that I fished with is Marty Authement http://www.marshmadness.net/. You can also go north and fish in Lake Ponchartrain. I have fished from Slidell several times with Kenny Kreeger http://lakepontchartraincharters.com/.
If you are set on kayak fishing, I don't know any guides in that area. One of the other kayak fishermen who is on the Native Watercraft Pro Staff team with me is Daniel Biggs. He lives in Gonzalez, Lousiana, which appears to be between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. I do not know him personally but he could be a resource for you. He is affiliated with the Bayou Coast Kayak Fishing club http://bckfc.org/.John Veil
