  • Rod Building:* Final touches* my First Rod!

I have some down time over here in Afghanistan and to stay busy I decided to try my hand at building rods. I have pretty much completed this one. I am waiting one more guide to come in the mail (11-14 day minimum). The rod is a 5'8'' vertical jigging rod rated to 500G. Looking forward to building a quite a few more over the next few months that ill be stuck out here.

Lookin good! Love the way that green makes that butt wrap pop! Also nice job on the epidural ramps, for your first build you have done quite well, you should be proud of yourself! Now take a step back look at it and remember this first rod, because you are now officially hooked.... Don't fo broke like i did my first year building lol
                Malibu stealth 14 with a paddle....still lol

Very well done, especially considering it was your first and you did it without a power wrapper!

haha...he said, "makes that butt wrap pop" Sounds kinda like twerking which I just learned was a thing.

Oh yeah, that rod looks awesome.

Tell me about it, My hands started cramping up on the 4th guide. When I get back to the states a power wrapper is on the short list of needed equipment. Thanks guys.
