My son's first fishing kayak outing

We went out fishing at Woodrow Wilson Bridge couple weeks ago. My son caught a between 40 1/2 to 41 inch catfish. Our measuring scale only goes up to 40 inches and this monster was longer. We didn't have a weight scale but I would guess about 30 lbs. My son couldn't even lift it. What was even more amazing was the fact he was using a 12 lb line. I caught a 39 incher, 25 lbs on a 25 lb line. Overall think we together caught about 10 or 11. Most were in 20-29 inches. Watching Kyle grinning from ear to ear made my day.
