image.jpgA friend and I got our new kayaks and we are ready to fish! If you see us out on the water please introduce yourself. We are going to test them out on Wheatley pond today.

Thanks, guys! Cowpokey - hahahaha, no, just a bunch of 2x4s on wheels; otherwise the yaks would take up the whole garage. The shiny yaks did not catch any shiny fish on their maiden voyage today. It turned into a gettin-to-know -your-new-ride day.

I need to do something to get my new ride put away in the garage. As it is now both walls are lined with boxes that haven't been unpacked yet from our move back from Korea. That's a pretty intense rack, must weigh a bit more than the kayaks it holds.

The Slayer handles quite nicely. Rudder movement is right-on and tracking is great. The chair is comfortable. It is heavy for me, so I need to build up some upper body strength. Peddling is fine going forward but a little awkward going backward until I get used to it.

                          I want a slayer propel!
Hopefully in a few years when the kids are out of college I can pick up a used one.

Where did you purchase them? Did you get a chance to test paddle?

                            Thanks,
