Good Deal on Lowrance Elite 4 DSI

Thought I'd pass this along.....

Cabelas is running a sale on the Lowrance Elite 4 DSI that includes Lake Insight Pro 2013 for $259.00. I purchased mine two weeks ago and sold the Lake Insight Pro on Ebay for $70. I have $190 invested in it total. It retails for $399.

I can't give much in way of a review just yet, but everything I have read is positive. I've taken it out a few times and I am please with it so far.

That's a good price, I just bought mine without the map for $299 at BPS.

As far as a review, I really like it. It takes a couple minutes to power up, but gets GPS lock almost instantly. The 2d and down imaging work really well in water over 10' deep, get a lot of garbage/interference in shallow water, especially less than 5'.

Cabela's had the $259 price earlier this year when Lowrance was simultaneously offering a $100 rebate. Then I sold the Lake Insight mapchip for $78 on Ebay. Net price for my unit was only $81. Now if the weather would just warm up enough and the winds die down enough for me to use the kayak so I can see the unit in action...
