    I have the OK trident 13, so I'll start off by saying I'm biased in my opinion. I did look at the malibu when boat shopping. The OK rod pod, which allows you to easily stow extra rods in your boat, away from slamming car doors and other hazards, was a big selling feature for me. You can even pull out an extra rod when youre on the water. The malibu has some hatches but I don't recall the access being as convinient. The other one was the scupper hole ready transducer made by Humminbird, for that specific yak.

    As you can see, I'm pretty biased towards ocean kayak

    I'm sure either boat will give you some great enjoyment of the water

      Well I ended up getting a used malibu stealth 14 with rudder for my first kayak. Hopefully all goes well!

          That's a nice "first" kayak, my first one wasn't even close to that good.
