  • Advice on how to rig for striper (cobb island)

I'm pretty new to this. Planning to launch from cobb island. Need advice for line, rigging and bait/lure. Gonna troll one line (bait?) and cast with another (lure?). Probably aiming for striper, but wont turn down anything. Fire away!!!

I would suggest rigging so that you can catch fish from 18"-28". Use line from 17-20lbs. If you are going to troll I would switch between plastics 3"-7". and hard baits that match bait fish in the area. If you have electronics use it to target the proper depth and structure. If you are on a running tide and you want a different presentation you can use live or chunk bait and drag it behind the boat while you cast. As far as Lure choice a jig head is versatile you can put plastic on it or bait. Have fun and report how you did.
