  • Seminar on getting started in kayak fishing - May 10

I was invited by Hudson Trail Outfitters to participate in their Boat Demo Day at Seneca Creek State Park near Gaithersburg. I will speak at noon on Sat May 10 on Getting Started in Kayak Fishing. The topics will include:
    • Minimum/critical types of gear for fishing from a kayak - many anglers want more gear, but you can catch fish with just these basics
    • Other types of gear that are often added
    • Transporting and storing your kayak
    • What features to look for when selecting a kayak for fishing.

Our active members already know most of this information, but for the new folks in snaggedline or others who are thinking about buying their first kayak, this may be helpful for you. In addition you can view and test paddle several models of kayaks.

Here is the writeup on the Boat Demo Day (10:00 to 3:00) from the HTO website:

"Come one, come all…. you won’t want to miss this paddling demo event! We at Hudson Trail Outfitters LTD invite you to our annual Boat Demo Day at Seneca State Park in Gaithersburg, MD.
