  • Little Seneca Lake

Went out yesterday from 4:30 till sunset. Had couple of tugs but no fish. Tried plastic worms and jigs. I really need to fish with someone who knows how to catch. Today did some research and found most people use spinner baits and chatter baits this time of the year. I have them but just haven't thought of using them. At least I get to enjoy lot of turtles swimming about.

I use spinner baits on rocks n around grass.. I use plastics the most though.. Cranks along rock n wood as well... That place is deep so it won't warm up as quick. You used the right selection... Did you fish the backs of the creeks or the 20-40ft standing timber ???

Was on the other side of the bridge away from the dam. Did two creeks where they have standing timber. Most areas i fished at were less than 10 feet.

The banks across from where you were fishing are steeper. You can fish anywhere from 1-16' of feet deep with one good cast. There are some standing timber right there as well in 16-20 feet of water. I like that area best for decent grade fish. I got my PB there. My best day there ever also came in there. I must have caught about 30 lbs in 2 hours. on a white fluke one morning. They were just stacked up in that timber and highly aggressive. That was a few years ago.

There are also a couple good spots in the other creek arm, but it's a good paddle to get back there,

What was water clarity like. It takes some really torrential rain to color up that lake. It is generally gin clear.

I def want to go out there and give it another try. I was only out there twice so couldnt say how normal is the clarity. I couldnt see my yellow paddle after 2 ft.
