Lowrance Elite 4X on sale

It looks like a good unit, but it is the previous generation. It look like they are trying to move the last inventory out. I'm debating between that and http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/pr...414792.4414808

The second unit offer GPS, down scan and sonar. It cost more but offer a lot more feature and it's black & white. Does color matter that much? I'm trying to keep the cost down. I can't afford the color units with GPS, etc...

Comments & suggestions are much appreciated.

I had the color unit with gps. Couldn't read the screen in sunlight. Went back to a basic black and white unit with a bigger screen.

For the same $$$ as the second unit you can get the current elite-4 HDI with sonar, down image and GPS in color. That 5" HB looks good though.

check walmart.com i just bought a garmin 550c. some of the prices were really good. it is worth a look pretty wide selection hummingbird, lowrance and garmin with free ship. good selection of sonar and the down imaging. chartplotting....ect
