I would like to join you all. I've never been to Jonas. Is there a certain place you meet? Thanks!

At the park itself there is a free cartop launch. Will be on channel 68 and if you need my cell, which I also carry, just pm me. If you need more info for the park and it's location pm me.

It's going to be a Monday morning flotilla!

Should be a good time for all...except the stripers.

What is a 9 wt? Is that something I need to have?

                        Peggy,

A 9 wt. fly rod casts a line that is at the heavy end of the fly fishing spectrum.

In fly fishing the weight of the line together with the lever action of the rod propels the fly to the target.

We need the larger fly lines to cast the larger flies to attract the larger stripers that are presently in the Severn.

                        At least that's our hope!

And I hope you catch one or more stripers on Monday also.

                          PC,
Fly rods are rated by weights ( not to be confused with lbs). I normally use 8 & 9 wt rods for the bay with sinking lines. Will be glad to talk further on the subject when we meet if you would like.
