    image.jpgMy maiden voyage of my new kayak was great.I launched from Jonas green park at 4pm. I was casting rattle traps for rockfish when I caught this nice perch ,the biggest I have ever caught.Felt like he weighed 2 pounds.

        WTG!! It's hard to tell by the ruler placement but it looks like it might be a tad over 13"! Citation size! Man you've set the bar high!

              Sold my FS10 last week and bought a eagle talon nothing fancy but I wanted a sit on top , I didn't want to buy used and couldn't afford a Hobie ,

                  Congratulations on the new kayak and the large perch. I believe your fish is the first Severn perch reported on this board for 2014.

                  As others have noted, citation size for white perch is 13". The Maryland DNR has a catch-and-release citation program -- you can use your photo as evidence of the catch. See the DNR website for details.
