Severn today! 5/13/14

I will be launching from Jonas green today from 5:30-8 to fish the Severn river. Anyone who would like to meet there is greatly encouraged to! Storm seems to be blowing past us and not going to hit! Fish on!

Raptor, Mark, and I fished from 7:15 to 11:00 this morning. We all caught some stripers, but the numbers of fish and their size were not as good as yesterday. I hope you are successful this afternoon.

I only got three at 14, 16 and 17 inches -- the least catch by quantity of our group this morning. But it was good to catch anything since I missed yesterday's bonanza. Also I was pleased to hook my fish on 1/2 oz. jigs I poured over the weekend. (A first for me to catch fish on my own pours.) Two fish hit chartreuse plastic paddle tails and one hit a white paddle tail.

Listening to my VHF radio the catch was slow among charter fishermen near the Bay Bridge and beyond until the morning tide started to move.
