My ex has a Honda CRV and lives in Arlington, VA. She has asked me where she can get a double kayak rack installed. She will be taking my son on vacation in June. Thank you in advance for your suggestions...............Gary

Most bike shops can/will do it. Bike Doctor, etc.
The bigger outdoor stores can/will do it too, Bass Pro, Eastern Mountain Sports, Hudson Trail Outfitters, etc.
Order on the internet and install yourself is an option too, Installation isn't hard for Thule racks.
Only tool needed is a measuring tape if you don't have a highly calibrated eyeball. Pretty much follow the directions,
everything's labeled and measurements provided. Helps to have another person who will follow directions and is at least 4' tall.TwinBeachBum - Cluttering up north and Chesapeake beach since the mid-80's

This is what I just put on my MDX. Works great and installation was easy. Maybe an option...

Another option to kayak-specific racks as other have mentioned is to use one of the T-bar load extenders in a trailer hitch, coupled with a crossbar on the roof. See http://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Wate...Extenders.aspx
I use one on a Honda pilot and it makes it easy to load without damaging the roof or the boat. I like that the span is greater between the crossbars too, but that was more important when I was hauling around a 16' canoe.
