  • Tog/Kayak/Access Question

With tog closed in DE, I started wondering why there aren’t more spots in Maryland that we can access. Fishing the OC inlet is a dicey proposition with current and waves. Making the trip down to Virginia is time consuming.

There must be other access points along the eastern shore that make sense. Right?

Are there any rocky inlets in Assateague?

That's the dilemma... there isn't any other inshore kayak reachable tog structure on MD's seaside outside the OC inlet area. You might be able to get some at Rt. 90 bridge or the Verazzano bridge, but it wouldn't be worth the effort most likely.

No inlets on Assateague until you get to end of the island at Chincoteague. And once you go south of Ocean City all the inlets are natural flowing with no rock structure at all.

I believe it....But it just seems so hard to believe. An entire coastal area with almost no rocky inlets? Hmpf.
