What size hook would you recommend to replace the trebles on the back of rattle traps and x-raps?

You usually have to go up 3 to 4 hook sizes to get the correct action from your lure. So, if they we #2 trebles a 1/0 or 2/0 hook. I think you need to test each type of lure with different hooks to evaluate the action.

I use 2/0 and 3/0 with horse hair.
