just picked up a new gps-fishfinder combo. its a 385 ci combo. cant wait to get it on the water. looking thru the cd that comes with it and wow it does way more than i thought it would. its could become very complicated very fast. anyone know if there is an easy setting on it. i dont need most of the stuff it has. any help would be very grateful for !

The 385 is the next generation of the 383, which I have. You can use it right out of the box on sonar. The GPS part will take some study to set the menu to your memory. Later you can personalized the settings. -
thanks dogfish , got to take it out on the lake today and it was easier than i thought it would be. that thing is so much more clear and sharp than the ones i had on my bass boat. thanks again !Comment

I have one and it is a breeze to operate, you may want to get a chip for it to store waypoints. but installation was easy, and the combo kit comes with everything you need.Comment
