Man rescued trying to reach Hawaii by kayak

The Coast Guard had to rescue a 57-year old California man attempting to kayak to Hawaii. They say he lost power to his electronics and became disoriented. He was forced to call for help.

I'm sure this guy thought he was prepared but obviously he didn't bring a good old fashioned compass. And his kayak doesn't seem as capable for an ocean voyage as the one below used by Alexander Doba to cross the Atlantic.



I think I'll just stay in the Bay.
