  • Hobie Vantage Seat

Seat alignment and position is extremely important when pedaling for a long time. I've found that slight changes in posture make a big difference over the course of a day. The vantage seat has upper back, lower back and lumbar adjustments. How do you guys on the pro anglers like these? Are the pretty solid or is it really gimmicky? I've played around with the seat at Backyard Boats and it seems really nice. I haven't spent any time on the water with it though so I don't know how it feels after a whole day. I've ridden on the old pro angler seat and this one looks like a nice improvement.

i usually fish for least 8 hours... the most has been 13

and ive had minimal tiredness in my legs and back.. If you leave the seat in the low position you get tired.. but up high seems nice.. and removing things around to adjust during the day helps as well

Ive slid a small seat cushion under my chair as well so im sitting on that for extra support.

the lumbar in the back really helps to.

I think its amazing.. theres no gimmick about it

Your experience is exactly what I found for other seats. I took a look at different body angles in seated positions as well as the forces on the body....the higher you sit relative to the pedals, the less strain on your back. You'll be able to go much longer this way. Thanks for the response.
